Some of the stories were really wonderful, and some were... not so wonderful. But I felt mostly warm and fuzzy after reading the anthology, so I guess it works? ;)Alexa S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13185723439360170259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4932292247636823526.post-31149157176389097152014-12-27T20:49:22.094-05:002014-12-27T20:49:22.094-05:00Your rating is EXACTLY what I thought of this one....Your rating is EXACTLY what I thought of this one. I also love Jenny Han and it was cute enough, but I felt pretty much exactly the same as you. I just did a review of this book and I have very similar feelings as you on each story. :) I also hadn't read anything by Matt de la Pena or Myra McEntire but loved their stories enough to want to pick up more by them!Trinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07917390803421816073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4932292247636823526.post-33365373174635870752014-12-26T11:51:39.107-05:002014-12-26T11:51:39.107-05:00I agree, I came for kissing and holiday cuteness! ...I agree, I came for kissing and holiday cuteness! I think that's why I didn't like David Leviathan's story either, and why Matt de la Pena was a little hit or miss for me. Looooved Midnights and Charlie Brown and Sophie Roth :D And I really liked Christmas CA because it reminded me a bit of Chocolat. I have to finish Laini Taylor's story... Holly Black's was weird but I sort of liked it? The only one I liked that you didn't was The Lady and the Fox- it could have been an amazing book but something about it swept me away anyway. Felt magical :)Morgan @ The Bookish Beaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05455877395068242798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4932292247636823526.post-6425017321052178432014-12-26T09:20:39.514-05:002014-12-26T09:20:39.514-05:00You need to read Holly Black's story!! Even if I wasn't too keen on it because of me hoping that the horned guy skating in the cover was gonna be Ziri and all that... but it was a very good story! And the Laini story was gorgeous but since my hopes for a Ziraz story were foiled, I was too hurt to truly enjoy it as it deserved!Pilihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05235628363081574896noreply@blogger.com
