Best Series Blog Hop and Giveaway
When I signed up for this awesome hop hosted by Cuddlebuggery, my mind spun with possibilities. Do you know how hard it is for me to pick JUST ONE series as my favorite series? SO HARD. I considered Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi, The Girl of Fire and Thorns series by Rae Carson, the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, the Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce, and dozens other, because the world is too vast for just one favorites, you know? I don't have favorites. I don't have bests. I have a million series I love just for being themselves.
But in the end, I chose a series I love that deserves a hundred times more recognition for its awesomeness.
The Archived by Victoria Schwab!
Why it rocks:
TEH FEELS
In the first book, Mac, our heroine, is dealing with grief and loneliness and the messy bits about being someone who frequently tussles with the dead. it's a tough life for a teenage girl, and Mac's got a tough exterior.
TEH WRITING
This atmosphere of this book is rich, moody, and dark, just like the covers. The prose is gorgeous and lyrical even when it carves your heart out with it's razor edges.
TEH WESLEY
WESLEY AYERS IS PERFECT. It's just a fact, really.
TEH CONCEPT
OMG. My friend Gaby described this book as being, "An episode of Doctor Who written by Neil Gaiman", and accurate statement is accurate.
TEH COVERS
You want them. You know you do. Just look at them. In person they are velvety and gorgeous and... yeah. You want them
And you can win them! OPEN INTERNATIONALLY
