I'm doing it. At the end of the year, I will reread the Harry Potter book for the billionth time in my life. It's been years since I reread. I used to do it contantly as a teen, and I miss it DESPERATELY. My soul needs HP again.
This would be more like a re-rerererererererereading, because I've read all of her books at least a bazillion times (accurate real-life numbers, here). It's a truth universally acknowledged that you can't reread Jane too many times.
(Yes, I see the typo) (Yes, I'm too lazy to fix it) I just got this pretttty new box set! I reread these all the time as a kid. It's about time I hung out with Anne and Diana and Gilbert as an adult.
This is such a comfort book. Slipping into Cath's head (and falling in love with Levi a second time) will be such a treat.
I've only read this once! Criminal.
HECTORRRRRR
Must revisit the swoons and the pain before Lion Heart!
The characters in these books feel like old friends. I need to go revisit them! I've only read each book once.
I've only read this once. ONCE. MUST GO BACK BEFORE THE SEQUEL COMES OUT.
You know me and my Tamora Pierce adoration. She is one of my all-time writerly deities, and though I've reread Alanna's series and Daine's semi-recently, it's been AGES since I read Aly.
This little known, under-appreciated gem was a STAPLE of my childhood.
Honorable mentions: The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, The Archived and The Unbound by Victoria Schwab, The Distance Between Us by Kasie West, all the Meg Cabot
FANGIRL made my list, too. I have FOUR COPIES. I NEED to reread it. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US would be such an adorable and fun reread. I really need to read THE GIRL OF FIRE AND THORNS and GRACELING (the latter of which I own), and the whole Harry Potter series.

I love your choices. I haven't done a Harry Potter (it made my list too) reread since the last book came out, I need to fix this!

I used to reread Harry Potter all of the time as well. I absolutely loved it! :-) I really want to find the time to reread the series again. So much nostalgia!
ReplyDeleteI've only read Pride and Prejudice before but I do have Sense and Sensibility on my shelves. I'm looking forward to reading Jane Austen's other brilliant works.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! :)
YESSSS omg why did I not put Anne on my list. *kicks self*
ReplyDeleteYes to Harry Potter and Jane Austen! Novels that must be reread all the time! Also, I cannot believe I forgot about Fangirl and The Lunar Chronicles. Ugh, stupid me. Those books are amazing and also demand to be reread again and again.

Perfect list is perfect.
ReplyDeleteYES! The Year of Secret Assignments made my list this week too. I feel like no one has read the series, and that is A TRAGEDY. I read it SO many times in high school, and it's been quite a few years now since I've read it. It's hilarious! (And looking at me forlornly from my shelf right now. I didn't realize it's the second book in a series until like this year, so it looks like I have some other good books to look forward to! And of course Tamora Pierce rereads (although I'm due for a Kel reread) and Harry Potter and Jane Austen made my list too (except Mansfielf Park because WHY?? I'm still feeling traumatized).
ReplyDeleteYour graphics are so freaking cool!
ReplyDeleteYES TO ALL OF THESE!

I did a reread of Song of the Lioness and Daughter of the Lioness this year. It was wonderful :) I love George and Nawat!
ReplyDeleteI need an HP read as well! I tried earlier this year, and got through book three, but then got sidetracked. One day I’ll sit down and binge all seven in a row!
ReplyDeleteYES and YES to Fangirl and Cinder! I just bought a hardcover copy of Cinder, so maybe I’ll do my reread when that shows up in the mail.
I highly support a Raven Cycle reread - it's even better the second time around :D
My copy of Fangirl is currently lent out to my college-aged sister-in-law, but once I get it back... rereading again! It is definitely a comfort story. I read it in one long, tear filled night. LOVE.
ReplyDeleteI love to re-read, but haven't much since I began blogging either. I have seen Seraphina on a lot of lists today but I've never read it. I should really make the time.
ReplyDeleteI love Fangirl and would re-read that anytime!
Love the banners you made today and the font usage! Very fun.
ReplyDeleteWeirdly, though I love the world of Anne Shirley, most of the later books (excepting House of Dreams) were kind of hard for me to read. They just didn't seem to have much of a plot structure and that was hard for me as an adult reader.
I've only read Seraphina once as well, and was never able to spit out enough coherent thoughts for a review, but it was so, so beautiful. The emphasis on the music and the hidden identity = SO GOOD.
Meeek! So many awesome books. I need to re-read Cinder soon. <3 And I just re-read Seraphina. PERFECT. GO READ IT. Now. And Harry Potter. I don't fully love these books, but I enjoyed them a whole lot, and I shall re-read them very soon, I think :) Hope you get to re-read all of these very soon, Gillian. <3
