Yay! I'm so excited to be part of the blog tour for Every Word by Ellie Marney, which is the second book in one of my favorite series of all time. it starts with Every Breath, and if you want to read my mostly incoherent and very exuberant review of that masterpiece, head over here. If you want to see some images that remind me of the mood, feel, look, and story of the first two books in the trilogy, scroll down to the goods.
Book 1, Every Breath, is a ship-tastic murder mystery set in Melbourne, Australia. it's where the true partnership is forged between Watts and Mycroft, aka OTPest of OTPs, as they solve murders while battling the realest case of Unresolved Sexual Tension Australia has ever known.
Every Word is the second book in the series. And if you thought Every Breath was tense, then OH MY GOD YOU ARE NOT PREPARED. Because Every Breath--which takes place in London--is like...the amps have turned to eleven. Past eleven. The amps exploded. This book is pure insanity, and ships, and murder, and revenge, and torture, and unending pain in the absolute best way.
Bonus: a little Wattscroft from my sketchbook! My fave dynamic duo. I drew them smiling because they smile approximately two times in Every Word because it is a mean, mean book. (To see it full-size, right click and open in a new tab)
I need to re-read the whole trilogy soon! And the moment you get some Wattscroft in your Society6 shop, I'm ALL OVER IT!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, they are the OTPest of OTPs!!
*squawks* THAT PICTURE IS SO SO SO PERFECT GILLIAN!!!! So. Much. Lurrrrve. :'))))) Your review of EVERY BREATH is spot on as well xD Can't wait to see what you think of the third book! I think it's my fav, but I still can't make up my mind! They're all to bloody amazing, dammit.
ReplyDeleteYour sketch of these two characters basically convinced me that I want to read these books. So thanks for that ;) But seriously, this series sounds pretty great! I've heard lots of good things about both books that are out so far, and I definitely want to check them out at some point :)
