Looking Forward: December

December is my favorite month of the year. I'm a total Who of Whoville. I'm all about cookies and hot chocolate and peppermint and carols and cheer, and crafts and baking and shopping and holiday movies. I'm Buddy the Elf's long-lost elf sister. I'm Tiny Timette. I'm Claymation.

Monica: You didn't buy presents yet? Tomorrow's Christmas Eve! What are you gonna do?
Chandler: Don't you have to be Claymation to say that?

So while December may be a slow month for new releases, to me, it's still the most wonderful time of the year.
December 1st

Their Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
I still haven't read This Shattered World, but I'm def going to get back into this series at some point. Plus, now I can binge

Forbidden by Eve Bunting
Historical ghost story set in SCOTLAND I am so there

Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom
This contemporary about a blind girl came highly recommended by Shae, who is not one to usually love contemporaries so it really must be something

The Trouble With Destiny by Lauren Morrill
I really enjoyed Morrill's Being Sloane Jacobs, and the cover of this is perfection

Inherit the Stars by Tess Elwood
"Three royal houses ruling three interplanetary systems are on the brink of collapse, and they must either ally together or tear each other apart in order for their people to survive." Yasss

It seems this is only a UK release, but it's a Sleeping Beauty retelling and LOOK AT THAT COVER

Thicker Than Water by Brigid Kemmerer

  6. Sooooo I take it I will be ordering Spinning Thorns from the Book Depo when I am not broke? Seems so.

It's so weird there are two books with the title Thicker Than Water coming out so close to one another. I was genuinely curious why Kelly Fiore's cover changed and then saw the author name! I missed the memo on this one.... but am now adding on GR!
