BEA Top Priority books

TYPO UNINTENTIONAL BECAUSE OF COURSE I ONLY NOTICED THAT NOW

BEA IS NEXT WEEK! BEAAAAAA! BOOK EXPO AMERICA, the biggest bookish even in the country, the center of the publishing world, and the place where ALL THE PEOPLE ARE! I am so excited I might explode. I fly out on Friday so I get to hang out with friends and see my mom before the madness of the convention begins, but you can bet your bottom I've already planned out my schedule and my book list (to the best of my lower than average organizational abilities).

Here are the books I will go full Celaena Sardothien to obtain. DO NOT STAND BETWEEN ME AND THE PRETTIES. This is the Cornucopia, and only one of us is getting the bow. (Celaena would kick ass in the Hunger Games).

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There will be SO MUCH AMAZINGNESS at BEA. I LEAVE SO SOON AND IT'S SO SOON AND AHHHHH #dailyobligatoryBEAfreakout

Are you going to BEA? Will I see you there? What books do you want? If you were to go, but can't, what books would you want?

  1. Great list! I'm upset because I really want both Heir of Fire and The Jewel, but those signings are at the same time! :(

  7. HEIR OF FIIIIIRE. I'm going to harass my Bloomsbury contact for an ARC soooon. Also really interested in Falling Into Place, but mostly because the narrator is unknown and I love that. Not too interested in the math that inevitably is prevalent in the novel considering the cover.

  10. Girl, I will SEE YOU THERE in the hunt for some of these books, like Heir of Fire and Zodiac (and maybe Dove Arising and Mortal Heart, but I'm not so worried about Mortal Heart because an ARC for me closer to November is practically guaranteed by something else). Then we can fight to the death and have fun like that. The signing for Zodiac happens during part of a thing I got an invite to, so I might just go for the food/authors talking and leave when the group signing starts because that's half an hour before the Zodiac signing and I want time to creep around/make sure I get it.

I NEED ZODIAC BECAUSE THE ZODIAC SIGNS ARE MY SHIT, OKAY? I DON'T CARE IF I LOOK WEIRD LINGERING AROUND. I STALK FOR A LIVING.

Ahem. I also suggest you try to get Exquisite Captive by Heather Demetrios. I just read the prologue and first chapter and it is gooooooooooood and I swear to have it read before BEA so I can bully everyone into lining up for her signing. Plus she wrote Something Real and I love that book so much. <3 Other books I'm looking forward to are Lies We Tell Ourselves, Made for You by Melissa Marr, Famous in Love by Rebecca Serle (SHUT UP), that Young Elites sampler (sad they won't have the whole book there, if I heard right), and either Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant or Even in Paradise by Chelsey Philpot because I have to choose between them. I'll probably end up seeing more shiny books along the way I suddenly discover I want.

  12. BEA IS NEXT WEEK! BEA IS NEXT WEEK! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

(Celaena would destroy the Hunger Games)

OMG BEA! BOOKS! PEOPLE! 6 DAYS! GILLIAAAAAAAN!

Landline and Sinner are my DO NOT LEAVE HERE WITHOUT THESE BOOKS books. I also really want Stitching Snow, The Darkest Part of the Forest andThe Accidental Highwayman (recommended for Stardust fans, blurbed by Brandon Sanderson and omggggg the cover is gorgeous)(what? I'm shallow). There are others, but I'm short circuiting with excitement and can't think of them.

OMG 6 DAYS I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOOOOOUUUUUU
