YOU GUYS YOU GUYS! Today is the BOOKAPALOOZA marking Making the Grade’s one year Blogaversary Celebration! Everybody clap!
Happy Birthday, Making the Grade! How do you feel about this mighty occurrence?
Yes, it is very exciting. Congratulations all around. I think the very best part about
joining the Wide World of Book Blogging is meeting OTHER BLOGGERS like the fabulous Jenna (and meeting you, bien sur, my
precious readers). So whenever I have the chance to help another blogger
celebrate a milestone in their blogging life, why, I do it. Because seriously. Becoming a book blogger?
Basically, Jenna over at MTG came up with the greatest idea for spreading the love of booking and blogging: a scavenger hunt blog hop thing! And I am the LAST STOP ON THE HOP. For more details, head over to the Bookapalooza page for the chance to win big prizes and see how all the other bloggers involved are expressing their love today.
The blogging community consists of some of the most caring,
most supportive people I’ve ever “met”. They know just what I’m talking about when I yatter on about why YA is the bee’s knees. They geeked out with me when I met one of my favorite authors, Leigh Bardugo of SHADOW AND BONE fame (advice to readers: practice what you're going to say to your favorite authors if you ever get the chance to meet them. This is so you avoid the traumatic experience of shuffling up to said author's signing table and going, "UM, HI, UM... I like your shirt and your book and we talk on Twitter remember?! No? Okay. I told you I like your shirt, right?" It's a little bit embarrassing, to say the least).
And
best of all, my fellow bloggers helped introduce me to you! *hugs
readers*
Now that I've got you you'll never escaaaaape |
I mean, what can I say? You're brilliant. You're bookish. You clearly have questionable taste, since for some reason you keep coming back to my blog and laughing at my jokes and nerding out over nerdy bookish things. And to all my new readers stumbling through Writer of Wrongs on an epic Scavenger Hunt, thanks for stopping by. Come back soon, because we should be friends! Your hair is shiny!
What I'm saying is, I would not have made it through the thorny wilderness of the
interwebs without my fellow bloggers. You, dearest readers, were the
promised land that awaited me on the other side of all those thorns. You’ve made 2012 a better year than I ever thought possible, and
for that, I am rewarding you with LOVE, PRESENTS, and GIFS, my three favoritest
things EVAR!
If I could reward you with him, I would. Okay, no, I'd keep him. |
Making the Grade is hosting some spectacularly awesome giveaways. Jenna is offering so much stuff I can't even list it all here. Just trust me and head on over there and GET IT, except don't, because, like Damon, I want it all for ME. But I'm adding my own little giveaway to the mix as well! I'm giving away A MYSTERY BOX OF BOOKS!
Yes, sir, I am. Enter here to find out if it's the GOOD kind of mystery or the BAD. All the Bookapalooza giveaways run the whole month of January, but you should still enter now to get ahead!
Hahaha! FANTASTIC post! You certainly had me laughing.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway!! I've been following MTG's Bookapalooza all month!
ReplyDeleteI recently left a blog that was growing a following because of some internal conflicts and pretty much decided to do it on my own. Although I wasn't allowed to say anything to the followers that I left, etc. I wish I had a chance to have said goodbye and where they could find me. You know I really like seeing all the blogs involved in bookapalooza working with each other, etc. It's so nice to see the blogging world together and I hope one day I can look back at my achievements and be proud of my decision to leave / embark on my own.
ReplyDeleteMystery books are great to send and to receive! I'm sure the lucky winner is going to be excited.
I love these giveaways because I get to discover books I've never heard of before! If someone's giving it away, it must be good!

ReplyDeleteProbably late in coming to the party but whatever! The books sound amazing - I'm already imagining the fun times I'll have with them - curse my unavoidable 'getting ahead of myself' nature!
