Book Haul, or the One In Which I Go A Little Overboard

BIG BOOK WEEK. First I caved in and downloaded all the Harper titles I hadn't downloaded before. I should be ashamed, but oddly... I'm not. Also the Penguin people prove once again that they are the awesomest.

Vitro by Jessica Khoury
A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller
Wanderville by Wendy McClure
The Blossoming Universe of Violet Diamond by Brenda Woods

  1. So pretty! Penguin and Harper are awesome. Super jealous of A Mad, Wicked Folly & The Taking. I feel like I've been anxiously awaiting them forever.

  2. It's okay to go a little overboard. I go overboard at times as well. Going to be reading Origin soon and then Vitro. You got some pretty covers. Come visit me as well.

  4. I don't think many are good at quitting series. Even with the worst of them, I need to know what happens. It's a peculiar kind of investment that I'm not entirely proud of. Author pronunciation guide. NEED. I would buy it in a jiffy. I always feel so embarrassed because I hate it when people mispronounce my name. I've gotten Elise, Lieze, Elias, etc. You are not alone in this, Gillina :D

Um, Reign. I hate that I keep watching it. It's so over the top and oh so not historically accurate. I don't like the acting at all, and still I keep watching. I'm hopeless. The Blossoming Universe of Diamond Wood looks promising! Happy reading, Gillian!

  5. I got Crash Into You a couple of weeks ago. It's not really grabbing me like I hoped it would.I got The taking last week but haven't been able to read it yet. Elusion will be in my STS tomorrow and I'm super excited about that one.

    Happy Reading!

  7. Yeah, I downloaded a lot of those a couple of weeks ago, and my willpower is even worse than yours, so don't feel bad at all. :D

  8. GILLIAN you got a lot of awesome books, girl. I have a few of these from EW and or NG but haven't started on (all) my e-galleys yet. I am curious to see your thoughts on A Mad, Wicked Folly because despite how historically inaccurate the dress MAY be, that cover plus the synopsis has me like RABIDLY interested. So. I need it. Heehee. ALSO ALSO I have All That Glows and I will admit to being REALLY curious about it.

Aww, middle grade. I need to read more MG! The ones you got look awesome. Happy happy reading girlie. :)

  10. I absolutely loved Crash Into You so I hope you enjoy Isaiah's story as much as I did!
And the cover for The Taking-So frickin' gorgeous-Hope the book's as good as the cover. Vitro sounds promising-There's been a lot of good sci-fi new releases so I'm definitely excited for it.

    Happy Reading! :)
