Final BEA Book Haul Vlog and CROWN OF MIDNIGHT Giveaway!

Here it is, the last of my BEA videos, featuring, yet again, the awesome Lili from Lili's Reflections! (Also, I'm sorry for the Effie Trinket impression. Really, deeply sorry.)

Day One's Haul
Day Two's Haul

OH MY GOD why did it choose that frame?! I LOOK DEMENTED. Oh, well. I guess the Gillian-faking-normal ship has long sailed, anyway. (Rory Gilmore: It's probably in Fiji by now.)

In celebration of my first year at BEA, and my CRAZY HUGE book haul, I'm giving away at least one of my pretty, pretty ARCs! And not just any ARC, but.... CROWN OF MIDNIGHT by Sarah J. Maas! Yes, this is the ridiculously awesome sequel to Throne of Glass. Yes, I have already read and cried over and shouted about Crown of Midnight, because it is just that amazing. What I'm saying is, you NEED a copy, and you need it bad.

Also, if I reach a high number of entries, I may throw in other THINGS. Things you WANT. *waggles eyebrows mysteriously*

Giveaway is US/CA ONLY because I am dead flat broke after BEA. Seriously, you try shipping 70+ books weighing over 50 lbs. three thousand miles. I'm amazed I can afford lunch.

  1. What books did you get that I'm NOT excited about? I'm trying to think of books to tell you that I haven't flailed about to you already. Which is hard, because it's us. Our friendship (yes, friendship) is based on flailing.

    1. Fangirl
    2. Across a Star-Swept Sea
    3. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown

    Nice Rory Gilmore reference. APPROVE.

  2. I'm definitely team Dorian. He's so cute and sweet! Not saying Choal isn't at times, but I like Dorian more! I hope she'll be with him! :)

  4. Wonderful haul, and I can imagine being dead flat broke after BEA too, lol. What a great experience, I hope to make it next year.

  5. Team Chaol!!! :) I don't know whether its the gradual earning of trust, of the begrudging admittance of talent, all tied up in the adorableness of their budding friendship/more-than-friendship, or maybe it's just the fact that I'm all for the stoic and silent type, but damn, is Chaol my fave to win Celaena's heart!

  6. Team Chaol!!! I'm most excited for Across a Star-swept Sea and Rose Under Fire.

  7. Definitely 'Across a Star-Swept Sea.' I am living in perpetual fan-girling mode until I have that beautiful book in my hands.

  11. I am Team Chaol, all the way!! There isn't even a little bit of a contest. :D

I had to laugh super hard at the frame YouTube chose, and especially your comment about it. I think we all learned long ago to just embrace the weirdness!

Definitely excited for These Broken Stars. That cover is just GORGEOUS.

Fabulous haul, and so excited to hear what you think of these books! And thank you for a chance to win CoM...I might die a little bit each day until it's in my hands! :P

  13. I really need to get to reading The Darkest Minds, don't I? But I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of Twinmaker. I've heard very mixed things, and last time I checked the average rating for it on Goodreads was 1 star (yeeeesh), so am definitely interested in reading your thoughts. And oooooooooh, dying to see what you think of Charming, The Beginning of Everything, and The Burning Sky. They all sound really awesome. And eeeee, about to start Crown of Midnight after I'm done slogging through Teardrop! SO excited.

  16. You had to get there at 6 to get a ticket? BLEHHH. This is why I don't bother with ticketed signings.

In my experience, the pronunciation will generally whatever way I don't say the name.

Didn't know Blaze was being signed. I got a copy from Steph.

I would have said it like Mischa (Barton).

You would apparently not have anything without Lili. How did you get through all of these lines? You clearly have a time turner. I WANT ONE. SHARE THE WEALTH.

  22. I'm Team Dorian. I can see the appeal of Chaol, but I just think Dorian's more fun. ;)

  33. Team Chaol forever and ever, I´m sorry Dorian put I don´t like princes.
I´m excited about The Burning Sky

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think I am pretty outnumbered, but I am Team Dorian. I was drawn to him from the beginning, plus I can already see the author developing him into a better person :)

Thanks for the giveaway! And I am so jealous you got to go to BEA. I would have but alas I am too young plus I'd miss school! :) Happy reading!

Oh, almost forgot, I am really excited for These Broken Stars, Charmed, Coldest Girl in Coldtown, and Just Like Fate. (I don't remember if you got these but I recall that these were at BEA according to other sites)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Very excited for Incarnate! I love her series!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Chaol all the way!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm torn between Chaol & Dorian honestly. They're both great characters and seemingly great guys. I'm interested to see how they develop in Crown of Midnight!

    ReplyDelete
  40. As of Throne of Glass I am totally torn and would be happy either way. From what I've seen about Crown of Midnight on Twitter it definitely seems that Chaol is the preference for most people so I'm curious to see how everything develops now.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I want Celaena by herself. Who says she needs a guy when she's a strong independent woman? ahhha.

    But really. Chaol.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love Prince Dorian! But I don't mind Chaol...haha.

Also, I APPROVE OF ALL GILMORE GIRLS REFERENCES. :) Gilmore Girls FTW!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I love Chaol! But I feel bad for Dorian because he does seem to care for Celaena.

As for the books from your haul that I'm most excited for....
    1) Crown of Midnight (obviously!!)
    2) Never Fade
    3) Once We Were
Words cannot describe how jealous of you I am right now! But you're so generous for giving away Crown of Midnight. Thanks for such an awesome giveaway!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Out of all the books you got from BEA (WOW), I'm going to pick something unlikely because it's hard to pick from the most anticipated ones. THE TWISTROSE KEY by Tone Almhjell. Sounds like something up my alley!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Totally Prince Dorian!

    Thank you for the giveaway!
